- Roger Murray reported on:
- Course conditions
- County restrictions
- Upcoming Shamble event scheduled for Saturday
Motions and Decisions
Beverage Cart for Tournaments
- Motion made by John Lange for the Men’s Club to contribute $50 per tournament toward the beverage cart so it is available at all Men’s Club tournaments.
- Motion seconded by John Levitt.
- Motion passed unanimously.
- Grant Nissen abstained.
Board Appointments and Roles
- The board welcomed Rich Vesely as a new board member.
- Rich replaces Grant Nissen as Non-Tournament Director.
- Rich will oversee Team Play.
- Tony Serritella will continue managing League Play.
- Two-for-Tuesday will be run by Joe Sedoti.
Handicap Administration
- Tom Cowley was welcomed as the new Handicap Chairman.
- He emphasized compliance with USCGA recommendations, including:
- Posting all scores within 24 hours
- Handicap posting compliance will be actively monitored.
Membership Dues
- Motion made by John Lange to increase annual dues from $150 to $175, effective January 1, 2021.
- Motion passed unanimously.
Green Reading Books
- John Levitt presented information regarding green reading books.
- Cost per book: $25
- Member survey indicated majority interest if subsidized.
- Proposed subsidy: $12.50 per book from the Men’s Club.
- Motion approved to:
- Purchase 100 green reading books at $25 each
- Total cost: $2,500
- Collect $12.50 from each member who opts to receive one
Budget Review
Non-Tournament Budget (Grant Nissen – 2021 Estimates)
- Team Play: $1,200
- Hats: $520
- League Play: $1,200
- Two-for-Tuesday food and beverage: $2,600
- Total: $5,520
Tournament Budget
- Mike Bell reviewed five-year average tournament costs.
- Estimated total: $7,635.
Treasurer’s Report
- Dennis Muehlenbach reported:
- Current bank balance: $5,566
- Approximately $1,000 represents dues prepaid for the following year
Budget Governance
- Motion made by John Lange that any additional budget matters must be brought before the board.
- Motion passed unanimously.
